59 Million people around the world are finding out that home-based businesses are a better option for creating the life they want to live. What is it about these businesses that draw so many to it? What have the owners of home-based businesses learned that the rest of us are missing? Perhaps these people have learned to work "outside the box," bending the rules to work to their advantage.
These "rules" have been around for years, taught by our society, creating roadblocks and discouraging people from venturing out on their own. Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad, states that "Our educational system focuses on preparing today's youth to get good jobs by developing skills. Schools focus on teaching people to work for money, not how to harness money's power." The rules are simply this; go to work for someone else, and you will earn enough to sustain life. But what if you don't want to just "sustain" life. You work to pay for the car you have to have to go to work. The house you leave empty all day long. You work to live, and in many cases people live to work, since that is what takes up the majority of their time and life. These rules can be changed though. You can learn to "harness money's power" by learning how to create wealth for yourself, not for someone else. Direct sales, home-based businesses, network marketing, all of these have had a huge influence on changing these rules.
Home -based entrepreneurs have had a significant impact on the nations economy as well. President George W. Bush stated "Government does not create wealth. American businesses, workers, farmers, and entrepreneurs created the wealth for this country. In our economy, our most precious resource is he talent of the American worker,- and there is no limit to what we can do when people have the freedom to make a better life for themselves and their family"( 2005 speech on economy and tax relief, December). This is what America and it's dream is all about. This is what those who are building businesses from home have already learned. Your dreams and your future are exactly that, YOURS!
Each week about 175, 000 people in the U.S. and more than 300,000 around the world are signing on to take advantage of the direct selling or network marketing business. Right now the business has gown more than 91 percent in the last 10 years, creating annual sales of $30 billion in the United States alone. This growth is projected to double in the next ten years. Yet, despite this explosive growth, still only 1percent of the worlds population is currently involved in this industry.
The direct sales industry is on the rise. People are taking control of their income and the way they use their time. What is causing such a dramatic shift towards working for oneself? One reason may be that no job is "secure" anymore. These days many individuals seeking job security find that the days of staying with "one company" for an entire career are over. Many Companies are cutting back on hours they give employees so as to avoid giving benefits. Other companies are cutting benefits all together. Layoffs and downsizing are on the rise. The only security found in working for anyone is by working for oneself. When you set the standard, you know what to expect.
Another reason direct sales and home based -businesses have really taken off is due to rise in Technology. The internet has made the impossible possible for many, allowing small business owners to reach thousands, even millions, of people worldwide.
Finally, the desire to take control of ones won future has such a draw, people no longer want to live pay check to pay check, or build someone else's wealth for them. By creating a life plan, finding or creating a business that works for them, and then working that business, many are finding they do have what it takes to reach the top. Your dreams are only achieved when you work them.
Starting your own business allows you to be in business for yourself. Do the research, find your passion, and align yourself with a compatible company that can provide you the right product, and you are given the recipe to freedom. Freedom of time, freedom of wealth, freedom to be in business for yourself. When the recipe is followed you truly are choosing "A Better Option".
