What's in the yolk; what's in the white?
An
egg yolk has 275 mg. of cholesterol (a healthy diet should contain less
than 300 mg of cholesterol per day). The white of the egg is almost
pure protein and has no cholesterol
Solution:
When using eggs or cooking them for breakfast, try only using one whole
egg, yolk and all, and the remainder use egg whites. Egg whites can be
spruced up to make delicious meals.
Try this next time you make eggs:
Greek Egg SpecialTop
1 cup of steamed spinach with 3 fried ( use small drop of Olive Oil to
fry egg) egg whites. Add 1/8 cup of feta cheese. Tastes great and is
healthy too.
